★鵜呑(うの)みにする [Japanese Proverb]

There is a bird named 鵜(う) and they swallow the fishes.
呑(の)む means to swallow somehing down. It is not same as 飲(の)む to drink.

This proverb describes the people who believe everything they hear or easily take things on faith before they think it is good or bad just like this bird.
