1. おもろい is the best praise that Osaka people like to hear from other people.
2. Must stand on the right side on the escalator.
3. We never use とても ("very" in English). We use めっちゃ instead.
4. People outside of Osaka expect us to say something funny. It is actually putting a lot of pressure on us.
5. Basically, we start out conversation with ちゃうねん.
(literally means "no" but we use it as "by the way")
6. We always compete with friends for finding and buying the cheapest thing at the store.
7. We actually never been to the top of the 通天閣 つうてんかく tsutenkaku.
8. We repeat ホンマホンマ (really), なんでなんで (why) and 知(し)らん知(し)らん (don't know).
9. When we say 行(い)けたら行(い)くわ (I will go if I can), that means we will never show up.
10. マジで (seriously?), ウソやん (No way!), そうなん (Is that so?) are all interjections.
They all doesn't really mean anything.
11. Visit southern Osaka, you feel more Osaka vibes than the northern part.
12. We can sing a song called 六甲(ろっこう)おろし even we have never really practice that song before.
13. We aware that we are not comedians but each one of us know if you are a "funny man" or "straight man" in our conversation.
14. We eat お好(この)み焼(や)き and 焼(や)きそば with rice.
15. There is an Okonomiyaki with noodles on the bottom. People outside of Osaka called it as Hiroshima yaki but we call it as Modern yaki.
16. Every family have at least one Takoyaki machine at home.
17. We don't gets hurt by the word "アホ (fool)" but we get hurt or upset by the word "バカ (stupid)"
18. If you tell people シュっとしてる, they would be happy.
It means "You look good/cool" It is one of the common compliments in Osaka.
19. We know what people are trying to say when you hear
まぁ、それはあれやな。"Well, that's that."
20. We are shocked to hear that some other area don't sell おにぎりせんべい onigiri shaped crackers.
21. You smell 焼肉 やきにく (Japanese BBQ) when you get off the train at the Tsuruhashi Station.
22. Traffic signal rules Osaka ver.
Green means Go, Yellow means Go, Red means be careful and Go.
23. 串(くし)カツ (deep fried skewers) = だるま (Famous restaurant for deep fried skewers)
24. We get happy when someone tell you that your clothes doesn't look like it's from uniqlo (but it actually is from uniqlo.)
25. People outside of Osaka don't understand what 行(い)きしな means. ( It means "on the way to somewhere" in Osaka dialect)
26. We all love the show called 探偵ナイトスクープ Tantei Night Scoop.
27. When someone ask you もうかりまっか? Are you making a profit?
Your answer is ぼちぼちでんな It's alright.
28. We piss off when Tokyo people are trying to talk like us.
29. When someone's answer is せやな, they are not listening to you.
30. Old women in Osaka are wearing fierce animal T-shirts.
Leopard T-shirts are the most common one.
31. When we say ちょーちょーちょー, It means "Wait, what are you doing?"
32. We call McDonald's as マクド, not マック (Tokyo People)
33. ユニバ means Universal Studios Japan.
34. We all watch comedy show called 吉本新喜劇 よしもとしんきげき on Saturday afternoon.
35. We call bicycles as チャリ.
