嵐(あらし)の前(まえ)の静(しず)けさ
The calm before the storm.

To describe a quiet/peaceful moment before a big event, we use this proverb.

A: いよいよ相撲(すもう)の決勝戦(けっしょうせん)だね。
It is the final game of sumo wrestling.

B: 急(きゅう)に静(しず)かになった
It became so quiet all of a sudden.

A: 嵐(あらし)の前(まえ)の静(しず)けさだ。
It is "The calm before the storm."
